What It Does

A thread protector covers the exposed threads at the muzzle when no suppressor or muzzle device is installed. It keeps the threads clean and undamaged, which matters because damaged threads can throw a suppressor out of alignment. It also gives the muzzle a clean, finished look.

Match the thread protector to your barrel or muzzle device thread pitch (1/2×28 and 5/8×24 are the most common for rifles) and confirm it fits the mount it will cover. Snug it down by hand and check it periodically, since it can loosen during shooting.
