Our piston uses a non-slotted design creating a full circumference gas seal. This drastically lowers gas blowback for a more enjoyable shooting experience. Machined from 17-4 Stainless Steel and heat treated this piston is built to last.
A piston (also called a booster or Nielsen device) lets a pistol suppressor work on a tilting-barrel handgun. It briefly separates the suppressor’s weight from the barrel during recoil so the slide can cycle reliably. Without one, most suppressed semi-auto pistols will not run.
Pistons are made for specific suppressor models and barrel thread pitches. 1/2×28 is common for 9mm, but many pistols use other pitches such as M13.5×1 LH. Confirm both your suppressor model and your barrel thread before ordering, and keep the piston and spring clean.
